Guidelines for job application in MIFOTRA recruitment system

In order to ensure an effective recruitment and selection management process, the Ministry of Public Service and Labour (MIFOTRA) has launched the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS). Through this system, Government institutions advertise their job opportunities and job seekers apply online.  The system was launched as a solution to ensure a timely, effective and transparent selection of Public Servants.

Today, we are going to see different steps you have to follow in order to apply for different jobs positions through the IPPS E-recruitment System.

Step 1: Registration

Create an account to access this application.

To register, go to https://recruitment.mifotra.gov.rw/, and once is open, click to REGISTER. You will fill necessary information required for registration.

Step 2: Login

Login into the system.

To Login, you go to https://recruitment.mifotra.gov.rw/ and click on LOGIN. You will be required to inter your username (your email) and your Password. If you have forgot your Password, don’t worry, you will have the option to recover your password.

Step 3: Complete your profile

On this step, you will have to add a complete profile, which will make it easier to apply for jobs. After completing your profile, regularly heck your profile and update accordingly.

You will fill in all the necessary information in the profile section. The required information are mainly Higher Education, Languages and References are mandatory fields.

Step 4: Apply for a job

To apply for any job, visit https://recruitment.mifotra.gov.rw/ . The list of published jobs will appear and you will chose any type of job you want to apply for.

Read carefully and in full the Job description, Job Profile and Skills required for the respective positions before proceeding to apply.

Compose a motivational letter within the provided section to support your application and submit accordingly.

Upon submission of your application, you will receive an email notification confirming the successful receipt of your application.

Once shortlisting is completed, you will receive an email notification informing you of your application status.

We also advise people to check their emails regularly, so that they will not miss any notification concerning their job application.
